Grandma's Stockings

I have wanted to know how to make these stockings for years and, thanks to my sister Sharece, this is the year!!!! These are stockings just like the ones my Grandma Eva Merretta crocheted for me and my brothers and sisters and cousins (all her grandchildren) when I was very small. (I was three when my Grandma died, and her crocheted gifts to us were one of her legacies.)

I have never crocheted anything before, and I can sure tell the first one I did and the improvement on the next ones. It's been a fun project... and it's not over yet. You'll notice there are only four. I got my kids' done this year and I'm still working on mine and Aarons.
