At this time, we just want to express our deep love for Gordon B. Hinckley. He means so much to each of us in our family. His legacy lives on, and we will remember his example and teachings as we continue onward on our journey through life.

He completed his journey with gold stars.

And we sing with Saints around the world:
"We Thank Thee, O God, for a Prophet"

Sickness and Heartache
february 2008

Our poor kids are sick again! For those of you who don't know, Curtis Michael had RSV last month and it spread throughout our family, showing up as a nasty cold, but mostly just quarantining us from the world for a couple weeks.

It must have weakened their immune system, because smack-dab in the middle of our family vacation to Disneyland Karina got sick and now it's been passed to Trevor and to Enoch. Thankfully, Curtis has not been sick with this one (knock on wood).

This sickness is a funny one, because the primary symptom is no energy. This is accompanied by an upset stomach and a fever for parts of the time. But the primary symptom is definitely no energy. I watched Karina listless as she barely even responded when I spoke to her! Then I watched Trevor sit on the couch for two days, barely moving! So strange!

But this too shall pass.

That's the sickness, now for the heartache. I'll make this brief. I lost my camera, complete with all the pictures on the Memory Card. And now I am sick at heart, for there are pictures on there that cannot be replace, and you know how I am about my pictures!!!! Not anything else to say, I guess. It's just sad!
