What a Difference a Year Makes
June 2008

For Enoch's birthday, he had his nearby cousins over, the same as he did last year.

Here he is with his brothers and sister and cousins at what he calls his "birthday table" (he got it for his birthday last year):

Cute kids, eh? And oh, what a difference a year makes!
Look at Lydia! (That makes me think of how my Curtis will look a year from now...)
And last year we had Isobel and Eva here with us and now they live in far away New Mexico. (Too far for birthday parties anyway)

And yet, the difference of a year is not so great in many ways. Same table, same food, same type of party. Cousins enjoying each other on a beautiful spring day. etc., etc.

Ain't childhood grand?
