Marysville Exploring a Montana (almost) Ghost Town We picked a bitterly cold day to go exploring. The thermometer in the Explorer read 0 degrees as we stepped out of the car and started hiking through deep snow to look closer at the log cabins. But it was definitely worth it. Our only regret is that if it was warmer, we could have stayed longer! |

Marysville
was once a very rich gold mining town... now a few people still live here
surrounded by these old, falling apart, NEAT log cabins. Be careful! The
floors are caving in... but that makes it all the more authentic. |

We were joined by a few dogs along the way. Here's one exploring the caved-in floor for us.
Many had small cellars (or perhaps gold stashing areas?) under their floor |
